ConfLab Quality Control

A Control Chart is defined as a control boundary chart in which a statistical measure of a series of samples is plotted in a particular order to guide the process with respect to that measure "(ISO 7870-1: 2014), initially developed by Walter Andrew Shewhart (1891 - 1967) can also be defined as the Shewhart Control Chart.
The Control Charts act in the control of any type of process, being incorporated to the reality of the laboratories mainly after the publication of the ISO / IEC 17025 norm in 1999. Among the requirements of this norm, the Validity Guarantee of Results establishes that controls should be applied. The results of these controls are presented in such a way that trends are detected, so control charts have always been one of the best options for assessing this trend.
ConfLab Quality Control Software monitors the analytical process from two types of control charts: “Average Control Charts” and “Amplitude Control Charts”. These charts automatically perform trend assessment (which can be set by the user) and have the ability to work with different action and attention limits (limits calculated by process deviations, uncertainty limits, user defined maximum limits) . Thus, this software has different features such as:
  • Process evaluation for limit calculations:
    • Initial assessment of outliers;
    • Systematic error evaluation from the T test;
    • Determination of calculated limits;
  • Card boundary setting:
    • Determine boundaries based on uncertainty (which can be imported from ConfLab uncertainty software);
    • Determine fixed limits based on user experience, standardized methods or guides;
  • Results trend monitoring:
    • Automatic trend identification in consecutive values; above the action range; between action and attention range (with user-defined amount of values);
    • Field for registration of actions for results outside the established limits;
